Long before Maia Gems was founded, I spent my high school years making and selling crystal jewellery. What began as a creative hobby gradually grew into a lasting appreciation for craftsmanship, design and the individuality of every stone.

After several years working in consulting and asset management, I realised I was constantly drawn back to design. While studying interior design, I rediscovered the joy of creating objects that balance beauty with purpose. Those principles of proportion, harmony and timelessness continue to shape every Maia Gems collection today.

As I learnt more about natural gemstones, my appreciation deepened. No two stones are ever exactly alike. Each possesses its own colour, character and subtle imperfections, making every piece quietly distinctive. Rather than chasing rarity alone, we carefully select gemstones for their beauty, quality and value, creating jewellery that can be worn and enjoyed every day.

Today, we work with trusted suppliers and skilled craftsmen across Hong Kong, Thailand and India to bring our designs to life. Depending on the collection, our jewellery is crafted in 18K or 14K gold, sterling silver and other carefully chosen materials, always with the same attention to craftsmanship, comfort and lasting style.

Every collection begins with inspiration. Sometimes it comes from the elegance of vintage jewellery, sometimes from Greek and Roman mythology, and sometimes from imagining the future.
